Your partner for complying with the new Customs and Border Protection (CBP) continuing education regulations for licensed custom brokers.

Our Role as a CBP Partner Accreditor

TrüTrade Solutions certifies activities that meet licensed customs broker continuing education (CE) criteria. We also maintain a list of the accredited activities as well as the organizations that provide CE.

Standards and Process

We are collaborating with the four other accreditor organizations to build the continuing education (CE) program through development of accreditation standards and implementation of the (soon-to-be) approved process.

Accredition of Activities

We review and approve activities for CE credits under the new CBP program requiring licensed custom brokers to earn 36 CE hours every 3 years. Activities that are not accredited by TrüTrade Solutions or one of the other four CBP Partner Accreditors will not be eligible for CE credit.

Preparation Credit

We issue continuing education credits for licensed customs brokers who have prepared material for accredited activities. Up to 1 credit hour per activity can be earned through this process.

Important Information

  • The requirement for educators to accredit their activities has not yet been implemented

  • Individual brokers are currently not required to obtain continuing education credits
